Homemade Noodles

I don't know why I never tried this before!  Maybe it looked too tricky, or it was too easy to buy noodles at the grocery store, I don't know.  I have always wanted to make homemade noodles; it just never happened - until yesterday - I think I'll make my own pasta from now on. :)  I just used a basic recipe from a cookbook I have but am eager to try different things - like sprouted grain flour, etc...
Here are the basic instructions if you'd like to give it a try or maybe you could come someday and we could have a noodle making party! :)  10oz flour, 3 eggs(must be room temperature), 1oz olive oil, a pinch of salt.  (I think I would add 2TBS water next time; my dough was really stiff)  Put the flour on the table and make a well in it.  Add the other ing. and begin mixing with a fork, slowly incorporating more and more flour.  Knead the dough until smooth.  Wrap in saran wrap and let rest for 30 min.  Cut off  a portion of the dough and roll out as thin as you want your noodles.  I cut mine with a ruffled edge but you could use a pizza cutter, or even just a good old knife! :)  Drop the noodles into boiling water or broth and before long you'll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor!  It's so much fun - you won't want to stop!

tooth powder

for a while now I've been brushing my teeth with an equal mixture of baking soda, activated charcoal, and sea salt.  It took a few times to get used to it but now I like it a lot better than toothpaste.  Much healthier and cheaper too!
